We can make a browser start in full screen mode and then when Controller Companion activates, control browsing and playback with our controller. With Edge - full quality is supported and to keep things simple I decided to run this for Prime Video too. If you use Chrome for example, it will restrict playback to 720p. Netflix app also has some bugs.Įdge works fully with Windows 10 features and Netflix likes this such as the DRM security. Netflix and Prime Video Windows apps aren't great and you can't easily get them fullscreen. In order to set up Netflix and Prime Video it is best to use Edge browser. Steam's own option isn't good because it will clash with games outside it's own platform. If you know of an alternative then by all means use that. It has a feature that auto turns off and on this facility when a full screen game is running (including Playnite which is key) to avoid clashes and also has a pretty cool on screen keyboard toggle. ![]() Install Controller Companion (it is cheap on Steam) as this will let you use your controller for the mouse and bind keyboard shortcuts to buttons. Once this was all done it was down to some researching and messing around a bit. ![]() I picked a nice theme, the xbox series here. I have an xbox controller wired so opted to start Playnite fullscreen on system start up. For me that was Steam, Epic and Xbox Game Pass PC. The easy part of course was installing Playnite and I linked up my accounts and got everything synced. This assumes you know how to use Windows 10 to a decent level and have an understanding of Playnite. I'd like to share with you my experience and try give a basic guide for anyone wanting to do the same. I am new to Playnite and found it due to wanting a way of launching all my games along with the added bonus of Netflix and Prime Video. I have created an intro video to clarify some things and show you my setup along with some updates.
